“Impermanence Unveiled” is a collaborative project developed by students from CCW Design School, bringing together disciplines including illustration, graphic design, textile design, and interior design. The project explores the potential of collective practice as a critical response to contemporary climate challenges and consumer culture.
Conceived as a pop-up installation in Canary Wharf, London’s financial district, the work positions itself within a context strongly associated with high-consumption lifestyles and corporate activity. The installation acts as a spatial and visual commentary on the transient nature of consumer goods and the environmental consequences of consumption-driven behaviours.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, Impermanence Unveiled highlights the tension between permanence and disposability, using design as a tool to provoke reflection and challenge the values embedded within consumerist systems.
